Central Valley Dentistry has invested in specific resources like digital imaging and CEREC (CAD/CAM) milling equipment that prevents us from having to send information to an off-site lab.
As a result, we can create permanent and customized dental crowns to place on top of a new dental implant instead of waiting two weeks or more for an order to be sent to a 3rd party. CEREC crowns are both highly accurate as well as custom matched from dozens of shades of porcelain, for a final restoration that blends in with your smile.
Single Visit Implant Installation
With proper planning, Dr. Behbahani can safely install an implant into the location of your missing tooth and restore it immediately, rather than having you wait up to six months for osseointegration to take place. Our specific implant techniques make it so that the restoration is functional on the first day without any added risks.
We’ll show you how to care for your new implant so that the surgical site heals and integrates as normal, but there’s no need for you to go without a “tooth” (crown) thanks to our in-house CEREC resources.
Do Same Day Implants Last as Long?
Yes. A same day dental implant uses the same biocompatible materials that are used for traditional implants. The only difference is that we use strategic placement techniques to make the process more efficient. With proper care and maintenance, our Phoenix dental implant patients can have restorations that last for an entire lifetime.
Plus, single visit CEREC crowns are just as durable as a porcelain “cap” that would traditionally be made by hand. The restoration is carved from a solid block of ceramic, allowing for consistent coloration and protection around the entire implant abutment. It’s made and bonded into place while you’re still at our office.
We recommend treating your new implant just like you would a natural tooth. Brush and floss daily, avoid using it to chew hard objects (or open packages) and see us for a checkup every six months.
